Staying Put/Moving On
Welcome back to Toni Taddeo's Tuesday 4.
Sometimes we live in the same place where we were born and remain there all of our lives.
Sometimes we move away and never come back because of jobs, marriage, circumstances of all kinds.
Sometimes we choose where we will live and we have definite reasons for staying there even though we might be far from family.
1. Are you far from family and if so why?
Yes. We moved here 29 years ago with the intention of only staying until my husband's job, at the time, moved us to another place. The company closed and we were kind of stuck. Been here ever since. Not really happy about it, still. Then, a couple of years ago, my kids and grandblessings moved two hours away...really, really, not happy about that plot twist!
Would you like to have them closer and have you discussed that with them?
Absolutely! And yes, they(kids and grands) are very aware of my feelings on this...very aware!
2. How did you come to live in the state you are in? How about the city/town.
We came one summer with my husband's job and life happened and here we are.
3. What good things keep you living where you are?
My grandchildren keep us here even though they live two hours away. Otherwise...
What's good about your state and town?
Not much if truth be told. I don't like anything about it except that this is where God has me so I will make the best of it and continue doing His work.
4. What things might convince you to move to another state or just another town?
If my children moved to another state I would definitely be on board. The plan, for now, is to hopefully move closer to where they are when my husband retires BUT we will have to see how expensive things get.

Our daughter moved 2-1/2 hrs away...and son lives in Oklahoma...we hate that!
