Joyce gives us a hodgepodge of questions to answer!
Thanks, Joyce!! If you would like to join in just click the picture above.
1. May 20th is World Bee Day...what's something that's kept you 'busy as a bee' lately?
I opened my big mouth one Sunday and now I am in charge of starting a Ladies Ministry at church... Oh! And the blasted weather! That has stressed me out!
2. Do you like honey? What's something you make or enjoy that calls for honey?
Yes. Biscuits, yogurt, peanut butter sandwich, chicken
3. "Gracious words are like a honeycomb, sweetness to the soul and health to the body." Proverbs 16:24
What's a proverb you love, or one that speaks to you or has helped you in some way?
All of the Proverbs but Proverbs 31:10-31 is my favorite. Verses 11-12 in particular.
Her husband has full confidence in herand lacks nothing of value.12She brings him good, not harm, all the days of her life.
The Bible is full of Proverbs, a whole book in fact, if that helps with your answer. The word proverb is defined as 'a short pithy saying in general use, stating a general truth or piece of advice'.
4. Tell us about a 'sweet' moment in your life recently that filled you with joy, gratitude, or peace.
On Mother's Day, I was re-baptized. I was saved and baptized at eleven years old. I've lived a lot of life between then and now. I know I didn't need to be re-baptized per the Bible however, I had some things that needed to be left in the water, so to speak. Although, it was in front of the congregation at church, this was personal between the Lord and I. I am overflowing with joy, gratitude and peace!
5. When you were a child, what did you want to 'be' when you grew up? How close did you come to that?
Oh, I wanted to be so many things! I really wanted to be a movie star(glad that one didn't happen), a nurse, an artist(still want to be that-it's not looking good), a poet and a truckdriver(influenced by my Daddy). I felt sure I was going to join the Peace Corp or God was going to send me to the mission field. I definitely always wanted to be a fairy, running through the forest and flying around sprinkling fairy dust over everything that was ugly so it would become beautiful! I didn't come close to any of that but God had plans and I've had a wonderful life. I would still like to be a fairy, though! Some days, I pretend I am, anyways! LoL...don't ever lose your inner child!
6. Insert your own random thought here.
I don't know why or how a random #12 got in this post but I can't get it off so there it is!
Grace & Peace,
Pam
