Granny can!

 

When your Grandson thinks you can fix anything, you get out the needle & thread and get busy!  Oh the things I have "fixed" for my favorite boy!  Granddaughter, too, for that matter!

It's been a coon's age...

 

Rose of Sharon bush.  It was so heavy with blooms this year.  All that rain was very kind to the plants.

It seems like I just posted when in actuality it's been awhile.  I don't know where time goes.  I do know I've been busy.  What with cleaning for company, entertaining said company, and cleaning after company.  Yep, that just about sums it up.  Anyhow, I am beginning to get back into my normal routine, dull as it is, and I am pleased with that.  It's stressful having people here!

So, that's about all I have but I have been walking around the place and snapping a few pictures.  Nothing grand.  Simply beautiful spots on a hot and humid day.

Amazing what a new pot and new soil will do for a distressed plant.  She's very happy now.

As I walked along, I saw something hanging on one of our extra large trees.  Now, I suppose you are wondering why in the world are there measuring spoons hanging on a tree!  Simple!  It is the tree that my granddaughter's treehouse was built in and she used the tree for her cooking utensils.  I must confess, I teared up a bit.  The treehouse is gone and my granddaughter is a Sophomore in highschool!  My Granny heart is a bit emotional these days.  I left the spoons right there so I can remember all the hours and days she played, in that treehouse, in that old tree.

Chives, rosemary and lavender have gone crazy!  That's fine with me.  I will dry some, use some for infused olive oils, and make sachets to bless someone with.

I guess that is all blogger is going to let me post for now.  I had a few more to share but I'll be back and I'll do it then.  Have a blessed weekend, my lovelies!
