But Life!

I had every intention to come right back and make a post, after my last one.  Well, you know how life is.  Some stuff came up and I had to take care of it, immediately, then one thing led to another and here we are many days later!  Story of my life!  Ha!

Like I said before, I don't really have anything that will be all that interesting but I do have a few pictures I can share.

One weekend, my Mister went to see his Dad, for the weekend, and I got the bright idea to learn how to make tamales.  Can I just say I lost my ever-loving mind for just a minute!  Who would have thought these delicious little corn husk packets, with meat filling, would have been so time consuming to make.  Lord help me, it took all of two days!  Of course, I was making them by myself and clearly this is, obviously,  a multi-person job.  Way too much work for one person but I think it will be fun to make them, with my kids, for the holidays.

My birthday came and my daughter gave me this sweet little letter board.  Now, I love quotes, chalkboards, letterboards, etc, so you would think I would change this sign every day but I can't think of a better quote than this one.  It's very true!  LoL

Last month, I planted a couple of planter boxes with pumpkins, in hopes that we get a couple for the grands to decorate.  This picture was taken a couple of weeks after I planted them.  Now the vines are going crazy.  Filled that fence up and is now running across the back field!  Craziest things I've ever seen!

There are several baby pumpkins and a couple of them have gotten quite a bit larger than this little one.  Hopefully, with water and some love, we will have a decent harvest.  I love fresh pumpkin for breads and pies.  And oh those wonderful roasted pumpkin seeds!  That is my addiction!

The birds have blessed me with many flowers this year.  I love surprises, don't you?  I'm going to be putting out different food for the winter birds, soon.  Wonder what surprises I will find next Spring!?

My Mister and I went out for some much needed therapy, a couple of weeks ago.  You just can't get better than this.  It was quite windy, though, so we had to stay right around one cove and not go as far as we wanted.  This is the first time I had been in my "Yak" since early last summer.  It felt good!

It is getting to be that time of year when the sunsets are the most beautiful in Oklahoma.  Late summer, early fall, is ideal for taking pictures and just enjoying God's artwork!

Well, I told y'all I didn't have much to post about so if you are still here, thank you for stopping by!  And please do come again!

Grace & Peace,
Pam

It's winding down

I didn't mean to be away for so long but summer is winding down, my granddaughter is back in school, and life seems to be slowing down some.  I will be back to make a good long post, very soon...probably tomorrow if I don't forget!

Grace & Peace,
Pam
