Lordy, mercy, Y'all, I have been busy as a squirrel gathering nuts for the winter!  I finally took the plunge and rented a booth at a local vendor mall and will open it on March 1st, so I have been gathering, making, dusting, painting, upcycling, recycling, and in general, wearing myself out!  I never knew how much work it was going to take to open a small booth!  Good golly!  In the midst of all this, I have been having several tests done in preparation of the bariatric surgery I am having later next week.  That, in itself, has really taken a toll on my exhaustion level, but I know it will be worth it in the end.  I am hoping the high blood pressure and chronic pain will be relieved.  I know the pain will never completely go away but hauling around a whole other person really doesn't help, so I am excited to get this journey underway!

We finally got some winter weather on Sunday and Monday...and it is still hanging around!  I know I shouldn't complain but our trees are also budding out which means pollen, which leads to my allergies acting up, which lead to sneezes and runny noses...let me tell you...sneezing and walking in icy conditions do not mix.  One's patootie will end up on the ground and that is not a good thing...especially when that patootie is attached to my jacked up spine!  LoL...just not fun!

Grace & Peace.

  1. Hello! I really hope your surgery goes well when the time comes. Brave you.
Oh I did smile at how you describe the danger falling down with a sneeze! Very cute! but I hope you don't!
Blessings for now and next week.
What is your craft that you are selling? I do craft fairs too (in UK) and they really are quite energy consuming, but great fun and satisfying, especially when you have a bumper day!
Nice to meet you, Mrs G.

  2. Good luck with you new space and with your surgery. New beginnings , I hope all goes well.

  3. I'm excited for you, are you having the gastric sleeve as well? I got to tell you the pain is no where as I expected. I have been very weak, dealing with lots of gas pain, constipation , and just trying to deal with taking in enough water, food etc as I'm supposed to. It's really a strange feeling, I can't explain it. I really don't even get hungry. I go for my follow up next Monday and can't wait to see how much weight I've lost. I know all the work of having a booth. I've had them in the past and a small shop as well. Fun, fun, but lots of work indeed. I wish you well with that too. You will be in my prayers ♡
